Sarawak fortunate to have caring CM

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Sarawakians are fortunate to have a caring and concerned Chief Minister, says Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.

“We feel proud to have a captain like the Chief Minister, who leads us to greater things,” he said, referring to Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

“…and together we pray that he will always be given strength and good health to continue to care for and lead us.”

He was speaking at an event here today after attending the State Development Coordination Committee Meeting (SDCCM) for Samarahan Division earlier.

Abdul Karim, who is also Asajaya assemblyman, revealed that the meeting was held to identify and look into the latest developments of projects planned and implemented in Samarahan.

“I was so impressed to see how the Chief Minister has the strength to go here and there. He’s all over the place everyday.

“On behalf of the leaders, people’s representatives, district officers, and community leaders here, we welcome the Chief Minister in his visit here today.

“We also thank Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari for taking the time to be with the people here today (Nov 3).”

Also present were Abang Johari, State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion, Assistant Infrastructure and Ports Development Minister Datuk Julaihi Narawi; Assistant International Trade and Industry, Industrial Terminal and Entrepreneur Development Minister Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais, Assistant Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Snowdan Lawan, Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang, Minister in the Chief Minister’s Office (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Talib Zulpilip, Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Law, State-Federal Relations and Project Monitoring) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali and Kota Samarahan Municipal Council chairman Datuk Peter Minos.
