Sarawak, Sabah emerge champs in colloquium

KABONG: Sarawak emerged champion in the Action Research category of the national level “Kolokium Penyelidikan Kajian Tindakan dan Inovasi Guru (KPKTDIG) 2019” while Sabah was the champion in the Innovation category.

The colloquium took place here from April 4-6.

Cheng Tun Kuet from SK Kampung Senau, who represented the Dalat District Education Office in Mukah, emerged as the winner in Action Research category and received a gold award for his effort.

In second place were representatives from the Institute of Teacher Education Rajang Campus in Bintangor.

The presenters were Mohd Nur Hifzhan Nordan, Laura Igat, Feona Badindang, Jezriel Supang Ucho and Mohd Fariq Ariffin Abdullah.

The third place went to Zuraini Marion from the School-In-Hospital, Ward 15, (Pediatric) of Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital in Muar, Johor.

Mohd Nordin Khadis (Form Six Centre of SMK Limbanak in Penampang, Sabah) came fourth followed by Norlida Haji Abdullah (Sains Sabah Secondary School) at fifth place and Zakia Setu from SMK Agama Tun Ahmad Zaidi, Kuching at sixth place.

For the Innovation category, Hamidah Raya from SMK Pinggan-Pinggan Pitas, Kota Marudu, Sabah emerged champion with her innovation entitled “Kad Piramid Karangan Pelbagai Guna”.

In second place was the Institute of Teacher Education Rajang Campus in Bintangor. The presenters were   Alice Pu Ting Kosin, Rajendran K Subramaniam, Dr Tiong Leh Ling, Vitcsy Michael Niob and Felicita Yii Meei Yong.

In third place was SK Kampung Senau Dalat, Mukah.  Their presenters were Chang Tun Kuet, Lisa Debra Pey Adum, Siti Habibah Muda and Fauziah Mahali.

The fourth place was captured by Muhammad Luqman Zaian and Firdaus Eusof Firhad from SK KLIA Taman Mawar in Selangor while Zul Hazmi Ahmad from SJKT Ladang Repah in Negeri Sembilan was fifth and Noor Liana Rosli from SK Haji Kelali Semera in Kota Samarahan was sixth.

The competition was judged by Datin Dr Bushro Alli, Dr Sharifah Nooraida Wan Hassan and Dr Mohd Richard Neles Abdullah.

The prizes were presented to the winners by Kabong assemblyman Mohd Chee Kadir.
