KUCHING: A total of 41 housewives, youths, school leavers and village committee members from five villages in the Tabuan Jaya area were introduced to hydroponic farming and event management here.

It was one of Sarawak Skills’ initiatives to empower the Tabuan Jaya community through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) training programmes.

“Sarawak Skills plays a pivotal role in empowering communities, not only through skill development but also by ensuring they stay abreast of cutting-edge technologies that define the contemporary landscape,” said Sarawak Skills Executive Director Hallman Sabri during the closing of the programme.

He said the success of community training programmes aligns with Sarawak Skills’ dedication to cultivating skills that support sustainable livelihoods.

Kuching District Officer Sofhi Jebal emphasised the considerable benefits participants acquired from the training sessions.
