School to hold e-waste collection event

KUCHING: SJK Chung Hua No 5, Kuching Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) is hosting its first e-waste collection event on Jan 13 and 14, from 8 am to 5 pm at the school premises.

The primary goal is to create a safer environment for the disposal of electronic waste.

This initiative welcomes the public to contribute old and obsolete electronic items such as computers, printers, cell phones, cables, lithium-ion, kitchen appliances and televisions.

Additionally, used clothing donations are also encouraged.

Proceeds from the e-waste collection and used clothing sales will go towards charitable causes.
