KUCHING: Sarawak CID chief, DSP Dato’ Dev Kumar confirmed that a second suspect has been arrested last Sunday in connection with armed robberies of convenience stores.

Dev said the 24-year-old suspect was arrested upon arrival at Kuching International Airport (KIA) from Kota Kinabalu.

The man had told police through his lawyer that he would surrender. He is now being detained for further questioning.

The suspect with another who was earlier arrested has been involved in 15 robbery cases of 24-hour convenience stores.

Many of the robberies were carried out with weapons.
