PADAWAN: Narcotics police arrested seven local men for alleged substance abuse and seized over RM3,000 worth of various drugs in a raid yesterday (Feb 14).

Following a search, three of the suspects had packets of drugs on them.

“Tests on the seized seven plastic packets showed drugs believed to be syabu while another plastic packet contained three Erimin 5 pills.

“The drugs weighing 37.84g are estimated to worth around RM3,752,” he said.

The suspects aged between 18 and 60 were later taken to Padawan narcotics police office for further action.

Background checks also found that five of them had prior records related to drug offences.

“The three suspects with drugs admitted that the narcotics belonged to them and that they obtained from ‘collection centres’ in MJC, Batu Kawa; BDC, Mile 3; and Stapok, Batu Kawa.
