SAMARAHAN: A total of seven teams will compete to win the title of the Samarahan League 2017 which kicks off on August 12.
Organising chairman, Mohd. Iskana Bujang said three of them were last season’s teams namely, Sambir Bistari, Ocean Eagle and KAPAKU.
Compared to four other newcomers such as Tebelu United, Muara Tuang,
Simunjan and Lariwoo FC (N.24 Sadong Jaya).
“We expect a fierce competition as most teams are lined up with experienced players,” said Mohd. Iskana when met yesterday.
According to Mohd Iskana, not only is the tournament seeing a wave of experienced teams but also of newcomers.
This time two venues will be used for the tournament, namely UNIMAS field and Samarahan Mini Stadium.
