KUCHING: Supreme Food Supply Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SFS) has been appointed as the Exclusive Distributor in Sarawak by Puratos Malaysia during a ceremony to mark the collaboration between Puratos and SFS yesterday at UCSI Hotel, Kuching.
The SFS and Puratos collaboration was jointly officiated at by Dato Richard Wee the Group Executive Vice Chairman of Supreme Consolidated Resources; Priscillia Ooi, the General Manager of Puratos Malaysia and Lim Ah Ted, the Managing Director Supreme.
A total of 100 persons comprising professional bakers, patissiers, chocolatiers and business owners witnessed the collaboration.
In conjunction with the official ceremony, the first “Taste Tomorrow” event provided unique insights into emerging consumer trends in the bakery, patisserie and chocolate sector.
Various new concepts inspired from other countries were showcased, highlighting the changing customers’ need in taste and flavours. “I hope that with this collaboration between SFS and Puratos Malaysia, the customers and consumers will be able to learn more about Puratos’ new ingredients, the products that were displayed here and the usage of the products,” Wee said in his opening remarks yesterday.
During the event, a demonstration of three signature recipes by Chef Shane were featured with a few interesting booths with the concept of Health and Well Being where different healthy bread mixes, technical fillings were presented. These were followed with the indulging All you Need is Chocolate! booth where the Real Belgian Chocolate, Belcolade was featured.
“We turn technologies and experiences from food cultures around the world into new opportunities to help our customers to be more successful with their business,” Priscillia Ooi said in her speech yesterday.
She also added that Puratos are close to their customers and consumers everywhere as Puratos will be celebrating their 100th year of history of establishment and with their new collaboration with SFS, Puratos believed that their products will benefit more customers.
