SRI AMAN: The lighting ceremony at Ciyun Temple, Simanggang organised by the Soon Heng Association here marked the start of the 2020 Chinese New Year celebration in this division.
The ceremony was officiated at by Community Wellbeing Assistant Minister Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, who is also Simanggang assemblyman.
In the Chinese calendar, 2020 is the year of the Golden Rat. The rat symbolises perseverance in the pursuit of wealth and wellbeing as well as living together in harmony.
