BAU: The Hakka Lion Dance Mural in Chinese Street Siniawan Heritage Town will become a new attraction for visitors in the Serembu area.

Serembu assemblyman Miro Simuh said that with the completion of the mural, visitors can now take memorable photos there when they visit Pekan Siniawan.

“This mural being made here signifies how important it is to protect the culture and heritage of the Chinese community,” he said.

He said this when officiating at the mural at Chinese Street in Siniawan Heritage Town on Saturday (Sept 10).

Adding on, he said that the officiating of the mural was also in conjunction with the Mooncake Festival which was celebrated by the Chinese community here after being unable to celebrate it for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Mooncake Festival is a very important festival for the Chinese community as a way for them to remember the important festivals brought by their ancestors who came from Mainland China,” he said.
