KUCHING: Six Sarawak swimmers have been selected to represent Malaysia in the Southeast Asia (SEA) Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia from Aug 24 to 26.
The swimmers are Kelly Teo Yao, Jeff Chua Yu Yang, Darren Leong Yi Chen and Magdalene Lau Ing Siew from Kuching, and Hector Ho Rze Jun and Claire Lau Yu Rong from Miri.
“They also will represent Sarawak at the National Schools Sports Council (MSSM) Championship at Darul Ehsan Aquatic Centre in Shah Alam, Selangor from Aug 26 to 30,” according to a press statement.
The swimmers have been performing well in several division, state, national and international meets throughout 2023, it added.
“We hope that they can continue their excellent performance in Jakarta and Shah Alam. All the best to the swimmers.”
