BAU: Teachers and students will enjoy a more comfortable classroom atmosphere when SK Segong gets a new building and better facilities, Assistant Minister for Transport Datuk Henry Harry Jinep said.

The new school will be built on a new site.

“The old school building is categorised as not safe as the area is always hit by floods and the building is dilapidated.

“Hence, I am proposing a new school building for SK Segong be built on a bigger site and at a safer location,” he told reporters after visiting the proposed site of the new SK Segong premises, on Thursday (Feb 3).

“A proposed site and land for the new school building has already been provided by the villagers and it is in the Ministry of Education’s (MoE) plan.

Henry, who is Tasik Biru assemblyman, said the four- to five-hectare site was enough and suitable for the new school building.

“It is up to the Bau District Education Office or MoE to approve the site and seek an allocation.
