With the hover function, one can watch a video or movie without using a stand.

Our phone is a necessity in our daily lives. Therefore, it is important that you choose the right one that will ensure optimal utilisation.

Honor Magic V2: Ideal for multitasking

OUR phones are among the most important assets in our daily lives. It can either assist us or be a burden. And, as a writer on the go, what I use on a daily basis must meet my needs.

What are my needs? As a working mother juggling school runs and lunches, the phone I require must have the ability to facilitate writing while I go about my duties.

In the era of modern technology, where anything is possible with just a touch of our fingertips, I was delighted at the chance to grab the Honor Magic V2 foldable smartphone.

It weighs only 231 grammes and measures 9.9 millimetres when folded. This allows me to keep the phone in either my bag’s compartment or my jeans pocket.

Furthermore, I am impressed with the phone’s build quality. The hinge is made of super light titanium and can withstand over 400,000 folds, allowing the Magic V2 to last for several years with frequent folding.

Thus, it is regarded as the world’s thinnest and lightest foldable phone, with good durability.

The Magic V2 has a battery capacity of 5,000 mAh. With the Snapdragon 8th gen 2 processor, the battery can last all day with a little extra at the end. With the 66w charging, it just takes around 50 minutes to charge from 15 per cent to 100 per cent.

Sharing more on that, I could easily refer to a press release or a WhatsApp/email interview while writing the contents down on another screen. The productivity may be optimised, and when opened, the foldable resembles a pad due to its size — 7.92 inches with a ratio of 9.78:9.

An immersive experience

Sharing the features of the Honor foldable smartphone, it is worth noting the hover feature. It was a unique experience that I stumbled upon as I continued to use the phone.

The hover mode experience can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. One such function is the tripod, which saves the hassle of needing to ask someone to take a photo for us when I can now do it myself.

Aside from that, the hover mode can be used to watch a movie or to serve as a phone stand when outside. The seated part of the screen works as a toggle allowing us to scroll through YouTube videos.

Taking shots of sceneries, food, and people was a good experience because the colour reproduction seems quite natural.

The 50 MP main camera captures good detailed photos both day and night, while the 50 MP Ultra-wide captures similar quality during the day.

The 20 MP Telephoto captures decent shots, however I rarely go beyond 10x. Meanwhile, the phone has a 16 MP front camera that can be used for both external and internal screens for taking selfies.

Overall, it is a great phone to get if you want something thin and easy to carry in your pocket. Its high functionality makes it ideal for working professionals and businesspeople who require two or more apps to run at the same time.
