BINTULU: The people of Samalaju will have a new modern school with the completion of the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Samalaju, which is currently being built.

Infrastructure and Port Development Deputy Minister Datuk Majang Renggi, as quoted by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), said the school, which was built at a cost of over RM57 million, has so far been completed by 32.7 percent.

Majang, who visited the project site on Friday, added that the school is one of the most modern schools built in the Samalaju state constituency, which includes four blocks of four-storey high buildings with a total of 36 classrooms.
