SIBU: SMK Sibu Jaya students will be part of a contingent representing Sibu Division at the state-level co-curricular carnival in Bintulu on July 4 and 5.

At a simple ceremony to wish them “good luck”, principal Mohd Yusry Azhar Abdullah reminded the students to put their best foot forward.

“Win or lose is secondary. What’s important is for you do your best and also to remember that you are not just representing the school but the whole division.”

Yusry also thanked those who contributed to the school’s selection for six events.

“We need all the support we can get from everyone in terms of logistics, meals, accommodation and the students’ well-being.”

“I’m thankful to the good Samaritans who had come to our aid and I hope more can step forward to give these students a helping hand.”
