KUCHING:  Hope Place Kuching recently received a courtesy visit from the Social Welfare Department staff.

In a statement, Hope Place said the department commended it for helping the community.

Hope Place added that the courtesy visit was led Hilda Amanda Felix who was accompanied by Haliza Din and Noor Hafizah Wahab.

“The official annual visit was for the department to get updates as well as to check on our finances and find out whether everything is in proper order.

“A meeting was also conducted and we were praised for our efforts in consistently helping quarantined families in Kuching as well as medical frontliners in hospitals,” Hope Place said.

It thanked the department and other government agencies for their support throughout the years and hoped that many more lives would be touched following the cooperation.

Hope Place recently visited Sentosa Hospital and contributed five walking frames to patients there.

“These contributions were requested by the hospital’s social worker and we were glad to give a helping hand,” it said.
