KUCHING: Exal (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd launched its show village for its premier gated and guarded housing estate, SOL Estate near Jalan Batu Kawa yesterday evening (Feb 17).

The company’s managing director Albert Kho said the show village consists of four show units for interested buyers as well as the amenities, surrounding facilities and the housing landscape.

“We’ve always said that we’re not building just houses. We’re building a community and a lifestyle.

“This is our idea, to give a glimpse of what their stay (in SOL Estate) is about,” said Kho during an interview with reporters.

As construction of the residential area is still ongoing, Kho said the idea of last night’s event was to showcase a bit of a celebration of community.

SOL Estate consist of three phases, with Phase One consist of 82 units – out of which 42 of them are semi-detached houses (duplex) and 32 units of terrace – in which the terrace houses have been completely sold.

“At the same time of this show unit launching, we’re also doing a preview for Phase Two.

“It will have 82 two units of terrace homes. I noticed that there were quite a few buyers who missed out on Phase 1 terrace houses.

“Under Phase One, we’re at 85 per cent sales, all the terrace houses for Phase One have been sold.

“To those who missed out on Phase 1, they can inquire about Phase Two,” he added.

Standing on 31 acres of land, SOL Estate features aspirational living for its tenants, equipped with mostly outdoor facilities such as the pavilion, and community farm which encourages multi-generational living in SOL Estate.

“We’ve got one pavilion, where tenants can do the ‘tai chi’; we’ve got outdoor fitness area as well as three jogging tracks – 500-metre, 1-kilometre and 1.5 kilometre tracks,” Kho added.
