SIBU: Holders of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) certificates are urged to seize opportunities presented via education fairs to acquire skills and professional education.

In making this call, Tamin assemblyman Christopher Gira Sambang urged all youth in his constituency to gain as much knowledge as possible regarding their fields of interest when looking for courses offered by any institute.

“I hope more similar programmes are held in the rural areas to attract SPM and STPM graduates,” he said according to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) while officiating at the closing ceremony of the Education Fair 2022 held at the Sibu Jaya Community Hall, recently.

The two-day programme was organised by Dayak Think Tank Association (DTTAS) and among those participated were Yayasan Sarawak, Semenggok Agriculture Department, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Mukah Campus, National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), Curtin University, YAHOS and several other educational agencies.
