KUCHING: Pustaka Negeri Sarawak will hold Records and Archives Management Forum for state government departments and agencies at Auditorium, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Miri on September 5, 2017 from 8.30 am to 4.30pm.
Facilitators for this forum are Head of Records Management Division, Vincent Jinap, Head of Archives Management Division, Dayangku Horiah Awang Gani and Assistant Director of Malaysia Chief Government Security Office in Sarawak, Mohd Shofian Jamain.
The third forum to be held this year, it will focus on state departments and agencies in the north zone covering Miri, Bintulu, Limbang and its surrounding areas. The first forum was held on May 9, 2017 at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak’s Galeri™ while the second one was held in Sibu on July 18, 2017.
The forum aims to explain and discuss on the management of records and archives in terms of direction, guidance and management aspects which must be followed by all Sarawak civil servants.
In addition, the purpose of this forum is to identify records that have archival value to be transferred to Pustaka Negeri Sarawak and to learn the management method of classified records.
The target participants for this forum session are staff of the Sarawak Civil Service and the statutory bodies of the state government.
