KUCHING: Serian Football Association (SFA) president Phillip Jabu clarified that his party is still waiting for the decision of Sarawak Football Association (FAS) before making a decision on the organisation of the 2023 Serian League.
Phillip explained that it is necessary for them to wait for the layout of the programme throughout the year from the highest governing body first to avoid any issues that may arise later on.
“We are still waiting for FAS’ approval and their layout of programme before we can draw up our own programmes including the organisation of the 2023 Serian League.
“However, I am confident that the organisation of the league will take place after Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
“We will also hold a meeting to set a date for the organisation of the Serian League once FAS gets back to us,” he told New Sarawak Tribune and Arena Suara Sarawak.
He added that further information will be updated in due course when it is available.
