KOTA SAMARAHAN: A form 5 student died on the spot after his motorcycle was allegedly rear-ended by a car along KM13, Jalan Kota Samarahan-Asajaya last night (Nov 5).

Kota Samarahan police chief DSP Brodie Brangka in a statement, said the accident happened around 9.20pm near Kampung Tambirat.

The collision occurred when both vehicles were travelling in the same direction towards Kota Samarahan.

“As a result, the 17-year-old rider was thrown off his motorcycle onto the roadside.

“He was later pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene due to bodily injuries and his body was taken to hospital for a post-mortem,” he said.

Meanwhile, the driver, a 32-year-old man, escaped unscathed in the accident.

Brodie said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
