BALINGIAN: The Balingian constituency was abuzz with the Free Haircut Programme, a generous segment of the ‘Back to School’ initiative, reaching out across seven distinct zones here recently.

This thoughtful campaign saw 16 skilled hairdressers volunteering their services, resulting in 457 students from various primary and secondary schools receiving fresh haircuts at no cost.

Parti Pesaka Bumiputera (PBB) Balingian Youth Chief Ardyman Henry Matan highlighted the united efforts of the local youth and the PBB Balingian Youth Wing in bringing this initiative to life, aiming to ease the transition as schools reopen.

In addition, PBB Balingian Youth Secretary Hafizzul Abdul Halim, said that based on the positive feedback and suggestions from parents, who are keen on seeing this become an annual event, the Youth Wing is committed to further refining the programme.

“Taking into account the suggestions from parents, who hope this, will become an annual programme, the PBB Balingian Youth wing is very helpful to parents in ensuring the readiness of students to return to school,” he said.
