KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway Malls, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, is having a giveaway until Aug 14 at its shopping malls — Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Velocity Mall, Sunway Carnival Mall, Sunway Putra Mall and Sunway Big Box Retail Park — to reward shoppers for their continued loyalty.
In a statement issued today, it said the 25th Silver Jubilee Giveaway includes a Spin the Wheel contest, where shoppers need to spend a minimum of RM150 in two receipts to be eligible for one spin to win an instant prize, with a maximum of five spins a day.
“Shoppers who spend more in the mall will be entitled to more spins daily, and Sunway Pals or Citi Cardmembers get one extra spin for their spending.
“Keeping in line with the 25th year celebration, customers born in the month of July or the year of 1997 — which coincides with the founding date and year of the mall — will also be entitled to one extra spin,” it said.
Each spin will also be counted as one entry for lucky draw prizes that include Sunway Pals Points, worth RM25,000, Poh Kong jewellery and Dyson products.
Sunway Malls and Theme Parks chief executive officer HC Chan said Sunway Malls had a remarkable and gratifying journey over the last 25 years as it grew from Sunway Pyramid’s one million sq ft of net lettable area (NLA) in 1997 to currently have seven malls with a combined NLA of five million sq ft.
“Hopefully, over the next five years, we endeavour to double both that number of malls and its NLA,” he was quoted as saying in the statement.
To kick off the celebration, Sunway Malls recently organised the 25th Silver Jubilee Celebration dinner at Sunway Resort Hotel, alongside an award-giving ceremony for retailers that have been with the mall throughout the years.
