BINTULU: Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming called for continued support for Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) to uphold Sarawak’s rights as per the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

Expressing gratitude to his constituents, Pang stressed their trust in him as their representative in the Sarawak government.

“I will do my best in making Bintulu a better and prosperous city,” he said in a statement recently.

Highlighting the government’s efforts in 2023, Pang credited Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg for the state’s progress.

“The Sarawak government has carried out endless efforts to benefit its people… I believe it will continue to do its best with the solid support of GPS,” he added.

During the recent State Legislative Assembly (DUN) session, the government passed two pioneering bills – the Sarawak Ombudsman Bill 2023 and the Environment (Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emission) Bill, 2023. These are the first of their kind in Malaysia.
