Tabung Haji disburses RM195,000 to media, NGOs and schools

KUCHING: Tabung Haji is committed to social responsibility through the execution of several of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes.
Datuk Nurlaila Said, the regional director for Sabah & Sarawak, Tabung Haji Board, stated that through its CSR programme, the organisation disbursed a total of RM195,000 to six recipients, including media agencies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and primary schools.
党Among the beneficiaries is TVS, receiving RM125,600 for the execution of the TVS Prihatin Programme,・said Nurlaila during her opening speech at the Tabung Haji Hi-Tea event with local media at The Waterfront Hotel here on Monday (Nov 20).
She also said that RM10,000 was designated for four NGOs, namely Harakah Islamiah Sarawak, Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association Sarawak Branch, National Dayak Muslim Association of Sarawak, and Hidayah Centre Foundation.
“Simultaneously, RM30,000 was directed to SK Dato Traoh, Samarahan, as part of the CSR allocation for the Ehsan (school) Programme.”
Speaking to the media, Ahmad Shahriman Johari, the chief communication corporate division manager of Tabung Haji, expressed the organisation’s commitment to extending such programmes in the future.
“We aspire to make events like this an annual occurrence, enhancing mutual relationships. Similarly, with media practitioners, we aim to collaborate more closely to further strengthen these connections in the future.”
Also present was Tabung Haji Sarawak director Amat Kassim Pait, Sarawak Media Group chief executive officer Kushairi Abang and other guests.
