TANJUNG MANIS: The runway and approach to the terminal at the airport here will be extended, said Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“This is one of our approaches to improve the facilities here,” he told a press conference after officiating at the Tanjung Manis Administrative Building here today (Nov 15).
Abang Johari explained the state government was improving facilities at the Tanjung Manis airport to mobilise development, especially in the ecotourism sector.
It was also approving more applications for people’s projects including “Skim Pembesaran Kampung (SPK)” to help low-income individuals acquire more modern and comfortable residential lots without burdening them.
Abang Johari said the transformation of Tanjung Manis would continue.
Besides roads, more infrastructure like water, electricity and school systems would be implemented for the benefit of the people.
“Next, we also improve the existing system to enable banks to operate and thus, provide facilities for residents to save and withdraw money including S Pay Global.
” I hope the people will continue to support the existing government to enable the planned development agenda to continue,” the premier added.
