BELAGA: A teenage boy who lost his way while looking for durian in a forest near Rh Lahanan Long Semuang, has been found safe by his brother yesterday (July 5).

The 18-year-old, who was scared and panicked, immediately contacted the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) for help.

He was said to have gone to the farm to look for durian at around 7 am on the same day.

The teenager later fell into a three-foot deep hole, about 200 metres from the main road and after getting out of the hole, the victim lost track of his original route.

Firemen from Belaga station were promptly deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call from him at 7.47 am.

However, the team found that the teenager has already returned home, all thanks to his elder brother who found the victim while enroute to the farm and brought him home.

No rescue operation was carried out and the team only gathered information before departing back to their station.
