SARATOK: A teenage biker was killed in a road collision at KM9, Jalan Roban-Kabong on Monday.

Jackson Lano Alvis, 17, succumbed to his injuries at Saratok Hospital while his 21-year-old friend is still receiving treatment.

State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the accident occurred at 1pm.

“It was understood that both victims were heading to Kabong from Roban on a motorcycle when they crashed into an incoming vehicle at a curve.

“As a result, the motorcyclist suffered injuries to his right leg, chest and head while the pillion rider suffered severe injuries to his legs,” he said, adding that both victims were rushed to Saratok Hospital.

Alexson said the vehicle driver was unhurt in the incident.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

The victim’s motorcycle heavily damaged following the collision on Monday afternoon.
