KUCHING: The road along Jambatan Sungai Tabuan/Jalan Setia Raja willl be temporarily closed for pavement repairs and road surface upgrades from this Monday to Jan 10, 2024.
According to a notice issued by the Public Works Department (PWD), the upgrading works will commence with night work from 9 pm to 4 am, from Monday to Sunday.
PWD said the routes involving one lane are Jalan Setia Raja heading to Jalan Simen Raya/Jalan Permat (Pending) and Jalan Simen Raya/Jalan Permat (Pending) heading to Jalan Setia Raja.
“Road users are urged to exercise caution while driving on the affected road during the repair works and to adhere to all traffic management for the safety of all road users until the completion of these repair works.
“The PWD Kuching Division will notify from time to time if there are any changes to the dates, times and areas involved in these works.
“Road users are also reminded that the maximum speed limit within this construction area is only 30km/h.
“We regret any inconveniences caused,” said PWD in the notice.
