BETONG: The constructions of Batang Saribas bridge, Batang Lupar bridge and Muara Saribas bridge are being actively implemented in order to develop the coastal areas.

Beting Maro assemblyman Razaili Gapor said the constructions of the three bridges are believed to boost the socio-economics of the people living in the area.

Following that, he urged entrepreneurs in the area to seize the opportunity to further develop their local products in order for these to be well received throughout Sarawak and market them to the whole country.

“The Sarawak government is very concerned about our communities in the coastal areas, especially the communities in Pusa,” he said when speaking at the breaking of fast ceremony and ‘duit raya’ presentation to the residents of Kampung Spinang held at Masjid Nurul Hidayah, recently.

Meanwhile, he said the Sarawak government had allocated RM1.5 billion for the Betong Division Development Agency (BDDA) and out of that amount RM200 million was allocated for Beting Maro constituency.

He said the sum of RM200 million will be used to finance all development projects in the area in addition to speeding up the implementation of basic facilities.

In another development, Razaili said the residents of Kampung Spinang will get a new mosque and it will be built as soon as possible to provide comfort and convenience to the people in the area to worship and facilitate all the activities that will be carried out.
