KUCHING: Vivacity Megamall continues to give back to the society by presenting financial assistance of RM10,000 each to three charitable organisations.

Sarawak Hun Nam Siang Tng, The Committee of Management of Kuching Chung Hua Primary School No 1 to 6, and Chung Hua Middle School (CHMS) Education Foundation received the mock cheque from Coramax Mall Sdn Bhd director Alan Sim during the mall’s Chinese New Year donation ceremony at the mall on Saturday (Feb 3).

Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng who witnessed the handing over ceremony, said the donation was a testament to Vivacity Megamall’s dedication to supporting education and community development.

“In addition to providing financial aid, the mall’s involvement reflects a deep-rooted commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable community development.

“By investing in education and community initiatives, not only did they contribute to the wellbeing of society but also created a positive impact on economic growth and social cohesion,” he said.

Wee also said the mall management’s CSR approach must be emulated by others, contributing towards sustainable development while making a positive difference in the lives of individuals and communities.
