LUBOK ANTU: Three foreigners were ordered to return back to their country after they were caught entering Malaysia illegally today.

A spokesman for the First Infantry Division said an army patrol team spotted them riding two motorcycles in a suspicious condition at around 1 pm, about 100 metres from the Malaysia-Indonesia border.

The team detained the motorcycles which were ridden by a man and two women for inspections.

“Results found that the trio aged 20, 21 and 25, are Indonesians and they had entered Malaysia through an illegal route.

Three foreigners are caught entering Malaysia illegally by an army patrol team at the Lubok Antu sector, about 100 metres from the border.

“The team did not find any prohibited items among the foreigners’ items, which include two motorcycles, phones and personal belongings,” the spokesman said.

All of them were later taken to the Indonesian National Army (TNI) Nanga Badau border observation post to be deported back to Indonesia.

The army assured that they are committed to controlling security and ensuring that the sovereignty of the state continues to be preserved, especially in ensuring that no illegal entries or any form of cross-border crime occur.
