KUCHING: Three men were injured after the car they were travelling in rammed into a tree along Jalan Batu Kawa here, early yesterday morning.
A State Fire and Rescue (Bomba) Department spokesperson said the department received a distress call regarding the 4.20am accident. Firefighters from Batu Lintang fire station were deployed to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found a compact car that had rammed into a tree by the roadside causing one of the victims to be pinned in his seat, while the other two were thrown out of the vehicle before landing in a ditch.
Firefighters immediately carried out rescue work to extricate the victim from the wreckage.
All three victims were given initial medical treatment before they were taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
