Men in blue to get refurbished stations to improve operations

KUCHING: Three police stations at Song, Julau and Matu Daro are in dire need of immediate upgrading to facilitate police work.

Minister of Works, Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, said there were also other police stations which need improvement, however, the focus will be on those in need of urgent remedial measures.

Nanta was on a working visit on Monday (Dec 12) to look into the immediate infrastructural needs in the Sarawak police contingent.

“The ministry has long term plans to further improve facilities in all the police stations of the Sarawak contingent,” he said.

Also present was Sarawak Commissioner of Police, Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri.
