KUCHING: Members of the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) and Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) made a courtesy call on Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.
The courtesy call was held at his office at Bangunan Baitulmakmur II here today.
Among matters raised during the courtesy call was for a dialogue on the ways forward on the International Conference on Responsible Tourism and Hospitality (ICRTH) and to discuss further responsible tourism initiatives.
Present were of Regional Department for Asia and the Pacific (UNWTO) director Harry Hwang, Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) chief executive officer Liz Ortiguera, Sarawak Research Society and chair of ICRTH 2022 Associate Professor Dr Hiram Ting, Pro Vice Chancellor of UCSI University Campus Mukvinder Kaur Sandhu and Sarawak Tourism Board chief executive officer
Sharzede Salleh Askor.
Earlier Abdul Karim attended the ICRTH 2022 at UCSI Hotel which will be held for three days.
