BINTULU: A two-vehicle crash along Jalan Bintulu-Sibu this morning left one driver dead and the other injured.
The 8.10 am accident involving a pickup truck and a car, happened near the Budiman Driving Academy.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) said firemen from Bintulu station were despatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.
The pickup truck driver, Hu Seih Hing, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics after he was extricated from his overturned vehicle.
His body was later handed over to the police who sent it to the Bintulu Hospital mortuary.
Meanwhile, the other driver, a woman, sustained light injuries and was taken to Bintulu Hospital by members of the public.
