BETONG: Two drivers survived an accident when their trucks collided at Bukit Saban today.

The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) reported receiving a call pertaining to the 10.58am accident and firefighters from the Betong fire station were despatched to the scene.

Upon arrival they found two trucks carrying gravel and liquid oxygen in the middle of the road.

“Both drivers were unharmed, however, there was a liquid oxygen leakage from one of the truck’s valves,” the report mentioned.

The firefighters carried out cooling action on the truck and drained the leaked container until it became empty.
