KOTA KINABALU: Two children and a man were injured after an unidentified man opened fire on a bridge at Kampung Lok Urai in Pulau Gaya here on Wednesday.
Kota Kinabalu district police chief ACP Habibi Majinji said the incident occurred at about 7 pm.
He said the victims aged three, 10 and 36 had been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.
“All of them are reported to be in stable condition and we are still investigating the motive of the incident,” he said.
Habibi said police had identified the location where the suspect believed to be in hiding.
A manhunt had also been launched to nab the suspect, he added. – Bernama
