Two killed in self-accident in Saratok

SARATOK: Two people were killed in a self-accident involving a four-wheel drive (4WD) at Jalan Berayang, Saratok-Sarikei, yesterday (June 2).
 
According to a statement by the state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a distress call pertaining to the incident at 4.06pm.
 
Upon arrival, the team found that the Toyota Hilux, which had four passengers (three males and one female) in it, had turned turtle in the drain by the roadside.
 
“None of the victims were trapped in the car, as it is believed that all of them were thrown out of the vehicle during the incident,” it said.
 
All of the victims were given first aid by the Saratok Hospital medical team.
 
Two of the injured victims, aged 15 and 33, were rushed to the hospital, while the other two, aged 55 and 41, who were confirmed dead at the scene, were handed over to the police for further action.
 
The operation ended at 5.16pm.
