Two men slightly injured in separate crashes

BAU: Two men sustained minor injuries after their vehicles were involved in separate accidents here yesterday (Feb 28).

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said both victims were given first aid at the scene before being taken to the hospital for further treatment.

The first accident involving a Proton Saga happened around 6pm at Taman Siniawan, Jalan Siniawan.

Firemen from Bau station confirmed that the car had crashed into the drain and the 32-year-old driver was rescued by passers-by.

Meanwhile, the second accident involving a high-powered motorcycle happened around 7.30pm near Kampung Sudoh Singgai.

It was reported that the motorcycle fell into a three-metre deep ravine along Jalan Kampung Sudoh.

The 22-year-old rider was rescued by passers-by before Bau firemen arrived.

The team later took and installed a cervical collar on the victim before taking him to the hospital.
