KUCHING: An individual requires two swab tests to determine if he/she is free from Covid-19.

Director of State Health Department, Dr Chin Zin Hing explained it would take two tests to ascertain whether an individual was free or not from Covid-19.

“Those who undergo the first Covid-19 swab test at private health facilities are advised to go for a second test 10 days after the first test to ensure they are clear of the disease.

“Within that period of time (incubation period), the individuals should adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and are advised to stay at home and avoid contacting others,” he added at a State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) press conference on the Covid-19 update at the Old State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Building here on Monday (Nov 2).

Chin explained that tested individuals were at risk of spreading the disease to others during the incubation period.
