UNIMAS sets sight on becoming a global name

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) is aiming to be a global brand with global standard as it surparsses its 30 year mark.

“Strategic plans of 2021-2025 were taken place to bring UNIMAS forward and we have taken opportunities to relook and restudy the vision and mission of UNIMAS to suit the change of current times,” said UNIMAS Vice Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohammad Kadim Suaidi.

He said this at the UNIMAS Alumni Dinner 2022 held at DeTAR Putra UNIMAS here last night (Oct 14).

He added over 55,000 alumni have graduated since the first convocation ceremony held in 1997.

“UNIMAS will also be having its third convocation of the year, for this year’s graduates on October 31 to November 4,” he added.

Also present were deputy Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni Prof Dr Kamarudin Kana deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic and International Prof Dr Ahmad Hata Rasit and deputy Vice Chancellor of Leadership and Development Prof Datuk Mohd Fadzil.
