Upgrading of market in the pipeline

BINTULU: Pasar Tamu Bintulu here will be upgraded to ensure more conducive environment for the traders and customers in doing the trading and buying activities.

Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming said he had heard the complaints voiced by local traders and customers.

“Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) officials have conducted a survey to upgrade the Pasar Tamu Bintulu in the near future to ensure the comfort of traders,” he said.

He said this when met by reporters after a walkabout programme around Pasar Tamu Bintulu here today.

The walkabout were joined by Murum assemblyman Kennedy Chukpai Ugon and candidate of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) for the Jepak by-election (PRK) Iskandar Turkee.

The walkabout was also held to further strengthen the relationship between the leaders and the community of Bintulu.
