ROBAN: The Sarawak government is set to undertake phased upgrades to the embankment along Sungai Seblak near Kampung Melayu Roban, according to Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri.

He affirmed the clear dedication of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government to addressing the evolving needs of the people.

Despite the substantial budget required for the project, he explained that the work would progress gradually, prioritising the wellbeing of the local population.

Assuring the public that the commitment to the project persists, he acknowledged the current budget constraints but noted the government’s intention to proceed with future construction phases.

These phases align with an overarching plan to beautify the area and mitigate river erosion.

In response to enquiries regarding upcoming projects under the Rural Transformation Program (RTP), Mohamad highlighted the government’s unwavering commitment to ongoing development initiatives.

He pointed to successfully completed RTP infrastructure projects in 2023 and outlined the 2024 agenda, which includes fortification, agricultural road, and bridge projects in the Sungai Paon area.
