KUCHING: The wife of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail touched down at Kuching International Airport (KIA), marking the beginning of a brief but significant working visit to the capital city today (Mar 2).

She was met upon arrival at 12.45 pm with a warm reception led by the Premier’s wife, Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, symbolising the camaraderie between the federal and state leadership.

One of the highlights of her itinerary is to officiate at the naming ceremony of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency’s (MMEA) Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) at the Kuching Port Authority (KPA) jetty.

Also present were Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, wife of Minister for Food Industries, Commodities, and Regional Development Datin Seri Loretta Sawot, and wife of State Secretary Datin Amar Baduyah Bujang.
