KUCHING: A planned water disruption notice has been issued and will take place from today (August 27) until Sunday (August 28).
The cause of the water disruption is due to a full shutdown of Batu Kitang Water Treatment Plant Module 8, Plant 4 for replacing of suction and delivery valve treated water pump.
The affected areas include Jalan Matang, Jalan Matang – Batu Kawa, Jalan Matang to Kampung Telaga Air, Kampung Stoh/Rambungan, Petra Jaya, Bukit Siol, Demak Laut, water supply to JBALB Muara Tebas, Santubong, Bako and surrounding areas will experience water supply interruption during the said period.
According to a notice by the Kuching Water Board, during the recovery period, consumers will experience low water pressure, air locks and dirty water.
With that, consumers are advised to be prepared for the said occasion.
