PAKAN: Efforts to resolve the persistent water supply challenges in Julau are underway.

During a recent parliamentary session, Julau MP Datuk Larry Sng Wei Shien raised concerns about the issue, calling for immediate intervention from the relevant ministry.

“I hoped that this issue can be resolved as soon as possible for the comfort of the people in Julau for their daily activities. If this issue can be resolved, it would greatly benefit the residents of Julau,” he said during the ‘Tuai with the People’ event held at Rh Christina Kassum in Nunggang Pakan on Saturday.

Sng also pointed out the glaring need for improved street lighting in his constituency, with only 95 street lights installed.

“Therefore, I am advocating for the installation of more street lights in Julau,” he added, noting that he has already taken steps to bring this issue to the attention of the necessary ministry for action.

During the event, Sng contributed zinc roof valued at RM50,000, in addition to providing a RM5,000 grant to the longhouse’s women’s bureau and a RM1,000 grant to its village development and security committee (JKKK).
