SRI AMAN: A family in Taman Sri Jaya here was surprised was visited by a wild monkey today morning (Jan 8).
The incident came to light when the family’s pet dog kept barking at the garage area around 9 am.
When the owner of the house, Tiong, checked what the fuss was about, he was shocked to find a monkey outside his house.
Fearing for the safety of his family, the owner quickly contacted the Civil Defence Force (APM) for capture assistance and a team was dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the team confirmed the monkey’s presence and proceeded to capture it.
It took the team about 20 minutes to subdue the animal as it was acting aggressively during capture.
The team then handed over the monkey to the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) for further action.
