Sri Aman: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) election director Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas has lauded Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) decision to nominate its women chief Datuk Seri Doris Sophia Brodie as GPS candidate for Sri Aman.

The Deputy Premier described Doris as not only knowledgeable, but also firm and capable due to her experience in politics.

“Doris has all the qualities to be your leader, to lead you to a far brighter future. So this election, you and the voters of Sri Aman do not waste your votes on the opposition.

“In the last state election, you had chosen to vote for all six GPS candidates in the Division. These indicate you all want development, and progress.

“Please repeat such wise decisions in the Sri Aman and Engkilili constituencies in this 15th General Election,” he said.

He said this to over 1,000 attendees at the gathering of Sri Aman PRS Women’s wing at a restaurant here today (Nov 7).

Adding on, he said the Sri Aman Division is on the verge of having better development with the establishment of the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) by the GPS government under Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

He pointed out that the Premier has allocated a budget of RM1.5 billion for SADA to carry out its various development plans and programmes.

“This is how GPS looks after the people, in particular those in rural areas and this is just one of the many initiatives.

“Do not throw away your good fortune. Go and advise your relatives, friends and all to vote only for the GPS candidates.

“Let us all work hard day and night. Because our one and only mission here today is to ensure Doris wins the Sri Aman seat on November 19,” he stressed.
