MIRI: Two children of a daycare centre were saved from being bitten by a cobra, thanks to the quick thinking of a staff member on Friday (Nov 27).

Miri APM officer Captain (PA) Usman Harto said the 45 year-old woman who works at the centre spotted the one-metre-long reptile and immediately called the APM for help.

“Three APM personnel rushed to the scene that morning after receiving a distress call on the incident at 8.09am.

“The woman spotted the reptile in the backyard of the centre and she immediately called APM for help,” said Usman.

At that time, the two children in the centre were with three staff members.

APM managed to secure the centre at 8.48am.
